I am an Italian born Australian artist.
My artistic life commenced at an early age, and has evolved over the years, involving
painting using the pointillism technique, wearable art and successfully mastered
leather sculpture.
My passion for mosaics was realised and commenced 15 years ago. Each piece can take weeks to complete and often, I work on several pieces at the same time, as the adhesives are long to set. Every piece is an original one-off creation, and never repeated.
The current series are mainly about the Australian landscape, and reflect my deep
concerns for the blatant destruction of the environment, including the massive
destruction of the natural habitat of our native wildlife, be it on the ground, in the sea or in the air.
This is continuing to happen for the benefit of humans, which our leaders refer to as progress with no regard for the ecological nature and balance of the environment.
My works have been shown in De Gallery in the Barossa Valley, the Beaver Gallery
in the ACT, the Blaxland Gallery, the Australian Museum, the Australian Craft
Council, the Black Door Gallery, and the Stella Gallery. My profile and work have been published in Craft Arts International, Australia Down Under, The Bulletin Magazine, The Sydney Morning Herald, La Fiamma, including an interview on Italian Radio.
